Apples grow in abundance. We have an apple tree in our garden but please don’t ask me what type because I have no idea. I tried a couple of recognition apps and it seems that itcould be a Bramley. Anyway, we get tons of apples each year, and this is one of the recipes I love to do. It’s super easy and freezes really well so we can carry on enjoying our apples all year long!
Ingredients
Method
Preheat your oven to 180°C/350°F. Grease 20-22cm springform tin
Peel, core, and roughly slice the apples.
In another bowl, combine together flour and baking powder. Gradually add flour mixture to the eggs then add the milk.
Stir the apples until combined. Pour the batter into a prepared pan. Sprinkle with almond flakes and a little sugar.
Place springform pan on a baking sheet. Bake in bottom third of the oven for 35 minutes. Lower the temperature to 160 and bake for 30 minutes more, until a wooden pick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Enjoy… Bon appetit! ♥♥♥
“Autumn seemed to arrive suddenly that year. The morning of the first September was crisp and golden as an apple.”
