It’s been so cold outside and dark super early here in the UK, but I managed to take some pictures of my gift wrapping using my phone – the camera is so good it’s crazy! I really wanted to share them with you and make them downloadable PDF ready as early as possible, so you guys have plenty of time to print them and adorn your lovely gifts with them. 

Anyone who knows me knows that I love Christmas!!! For years I stopped celebrating after my parents died when I was a teenager and I hated the holidays… but then I met Phil (many years ago now) and since then the joy and sparkle of this festive season started shining on our home again!

Wrapping presents is like a meditation for me and I get lost in combining the right paper with that piece of ribbon that I have tucked away in my basket – I am always collecting little bits of thread, velvet, silk or even objects like old toys, vintage Christmas decorations or dried flowers from our summer walks… 

So where do you start? Well for me it is with colours and this year I have chosen a pretty traditional colour theme, red and greens adorned with a hint of gold.

Once you have your theme, rummage through your house, your garden or even the shops and start gathering what might go together…

My favourite is to choose beautiful bows and delicate velvet ribbons to embellish even the simplest of paper. Then I tend to add a simple vintage decoration or something organic to make it that little bit more special!

Every year I make my own labels, I like that little special personal touch that makes the present unique and I can carry my theme even further.
